This is an original painting by Henry Martin, painted in acrylic on 8" x 8" board. This painting has also been been varnished.
I was lucky enough to spend March and April of 2019 on the beautiful island of Kefalonia, painting as I went. We were based in the northern peninsula not far from Fiskardo and most of my work reflects this.
The road above Assos is quite hairy - literally (there are wandering crowds of goats) and in every sense as it twists wildly around the mountain side. The worst danger is the gorgeousnes of the views down to Assos, which appears as a terracotta jewel amidst the turquoise sea and dark green pine forests. We parked up and took more photos than I can count, before I found one I was happy to work from. Given the dust and dangers of the road, this one was not painted on site!
