This is a high quality giclée A4 print (unmounted) of an original ink and watercolour painting by Henry Martin, completed on site in HMP Manchester (formerly known as Strangeways).
 
I was given generous permission by the Governor of HMP Manchester to visit the prison for two weeks in August 2018. The prison is a fascinating place, not least for its stunning architecture, which the general public never get to see. I was able to draw, not only the outside, but also some of the important parts of the interior, such as the kitchens, the printshop and the library.
