This is an original painting by Henry Martin, painted in oil on 8" x 8" board. 
 
I went out for afternoon walk on New Year's Day around Manchester. My eye was caught by the contrast between the light on the brickwork and the green railway bridge (that marks the border between Manchester and Salford).
 
This is part of a small series of paintings made around Greater Manchester in January 2019.
